Central Texas Tarheels Select AAU Basketball Tryouts

Separation comes from preparation!

Grades 7-12: AAU Travel Basketball is a competitive level of select basketball. All CTX Tarheel teams will have the same schedule with maybe the exception of our lady tarheel squads. The number of players who try out and their skill level will help determine the number of travel teams we will have in each age group.

Registration: Registration has already started and ends the night before the final basketball tryouts. The online registration form below will close the night before our basketball tryout begins. So if you are interested in trying out this season get registered asap…

Basketball Tryouts: The tryout and team selection process is carried out by the CTX Tarheel coaching staff. There is a onetime non refundable $20 basketball tryout fee which is due prior to trying out which goes towards the gym rental fee. If you pre register the fee is only $10. AAU players who have played with other teams in past seasons are NOT allowed to wear their old AAU team gear to our tryouts. Fill out the registration form below if you are interested in playing this season, a coach will give you a call with details.

Rosters: Spots are still available, if you are looking for a team to play with call the team coach and they will let you know when the next practice is. Spots are filling up quickly as the school season is now over. Teams have already started practicing and conditioning. Be prepared to pay your deposit if offered a spot on the team at that time.

Fees: A deposit is due after you’ve been offered a spot on the team. The fees cover all practices and league games, a uniform, shooting shirt and entry fees for our tournaments. Our membership fees can be found here.

Mandatory Parent’s Meeting: A welcome meeting, introduction of coaches, and Q&A session will be held before the start of the season. Sample uniforms will be available so that the correct size uniform can be ordered that same night if a new uniform is needed. The deposit will be collected at this meeting for anyone who has not already paid as well.
